The tint law in florida is 28% sides and 15% back hatch, but is that dark enough? Anyone have pics of close to that, preferably on a black car but anything would be great...

my g/f went with the 15 all the way around and its not bad. i have 5 on mine and wouldnt have it any other way. u still get that glare from the sun with the 15.

ive got 27% all the way around on my TA (SC Law), with gray interior it was darker than my SS with 20% all around and Tan interior. 28% would look good and not be to dark to see out of at night. (ive got 5% on the sides and 2.5% on the back in my F150 and its a nightmare at night). let me see if i can dig up some pictures.....

^^ is that 28% it looks good IMO and seems like it would be decent at night aswell...

that is 27% but i dont think 1% will make that big of a difference, plus if you put 15% on the back it will look alot darker

Im here in Florida too, I have 15% all the way around. The cops wont notice 15% that much unless you give them a reason to.

28% is probably just 35% with the stock tint. So when you look at "35% tint" is will be close to 28%.

Dude just go for 15%. I live in florida and i have 15% tint and i was pulled over for going 55 in a 45(long story but he wasnt gonna pull me over until i turned on my stereo..he took it as disrespect but all i get was a warning) And he still didnt say anything about my tint. I had the drivers side all the way down but the passenger was up and he didnt say a thing.

I havent had any problems and ive had it for almost 2 months now. I actually do wish i got 5% and i will get 5% if i get a fix it ticket

i got pulled 2 weeks ago and he didnt even notice my tint. and it was at night with hardly any lights on the street. but he didnt notice the slicks on the car either

go 15%, i have a friend with 5% and he gets pulled over all the time... with my 15% the car looks sexy, i can see at night, and the great thing is i dont get pulled over...

Yeah, 5% looks awesome but is not worth the tickets. I got three tickets in my old truck with 5%. $85 a piece. I'm staying legal from now on.

I've had 5%(a little dark, probably will go a little lighter in the future) on the windows (had 20% for about 3 yrs before)for more than a year now and have gotten pulled over for the thing they call speeding about 5 times since then but no cop has ever said anything about my tint. I do roll the windows down when pulling over and its only 20 on the back so the officer can see inside pretty well. Now, if the windows were left up and the officer walked up and couldn't see what was inside then it might be a problem. Just my experiences and .02

How is that? If the factory blocks out say 5%, then when you put 35% tint on it goes to 30%. I remember reading a thread over at Stangnet a long time ago how someone failed their inspection because his window was under the legal 35%, but he put 35% tint on.
