Default LED and turn signal questions

I want to put LED's in my nostrils between the hood and bumper. I was thinking about going with street glow cuz my buddy is a dealer. My questions are will they be waterproof? Should I get 2 3" in LED tubes or the door handle LEDs and just put them under the hood? My other question is if I get a red bulb to replace the amber turn signal bulb in the front and I VHT nightshade it do you guys think it will be bright enough to still see? I think the red alone will make it look ricey so I wanna tint it a little along with all the other running lights.

Anything red or blue in the front is asking for trouble.
I've run both in the front of my car and have never had any trouble, but I know someday my luck is gonna run out.
As far as the nostrils go, I prefer cold cathode tubes. The provide a much better "bath" of light in a large area, than the LEDs do.
They are easy to waterproof, too. Just seal em up with clear silicone.

Probably. But if you're gonna black it out, then just black out your stockers and be done with it.
