Default What would you do? LS2 or TSP 347

Im stuck on this one. I can get a complete LS2 new crate engine, and only need to transfer my oilpan, comes with new ignition, oil pump, coils, all covers etc, and for $250 more all adapters. It would be a stock engine. 400HP at the crank I guess. Or ive been talking with Trevor at TSP on a forged 347, with a torquer 2. It would be the same price, but id need to transfer my oil pump, front and rear covers, valley covers, intake, injectors, throttle body, and rocker arms, pedestal, bolts etc. The car engine has around 80k so these are all worn parts. The cost would be the same. The TSP engine should be around 430HP. This is my daily driver and im a college student. This is ALL funds allow for. I NEED a new engine. The LS2 comes with year/12,000 Warranty, the TSP only has a 30day. Thats the only point thats holding me what if it blows up on day 31? How reliable is it gonna be? Practical? Id like to make this purchase TODAY. Ive been weighing each setup for a while. Thanks for any input.

Either probably isn't bad. If it's your only car and you're in college and money is tight, go with the stock LS2. As for blowing the motor up on day #31, I wouldn't worry about it. If it's a human-related error due to clearance/torque specs, it'll show up before day 30.

Id vote LS2. You could always add a cam later on down the road.

Yeah its def more economical. Sorry TSP. Your 347 looks so badass, but so many of my old parts where ruined in the hydrolock thats just strapping it. Trevor was a big help, and you all will definitly have my business in the future, its gonna be hard not hearing that lope I was so looking forward too

I would probably go with the crate LS2. You could always do a cam later like previously said and make some serious power.

Hope everything works out
