i use windows movies maker, its sweet, but i want to start making better vids and want to get some new software.
i heard adope premier is good, but a lot of software i heard is pretty expensive.
but windows movie maker can be really good if you learn to use it. just look at the vids jjZ28 made, he uses WMM and his vids are ****

I've used the adobe suite (premiere pro & after effects) that makes killer vids (I made 90% of the speedinjection.org vids with premiere). The only downside to it is the file sizes... you REALLY have to play with the settings to get the file sizes you want with the quality. On our latest one, I used windows movie maker. The thing I don't like about it is that you don't the control over the sound like you do in premiere.
If you're just starting, Windows Movie Maker will teach you the basics about laying out your timeline, making good title screens, and video encoding characteristics such as different video/audio bitrates and screen sizing. Once you master that, I'd suggest moving onto premiere and after effects if you REALLY wanna take your vids to the next level.
