Default what should i do?

well i stepped on the gas earlier and i heard a loud noise come from behind me and im pretty sure it was my rear end. so im going to take off the rear end cover tommorow and see if it was my gears is there anything else it could be? my drive shaft is still in place it moves barely but it makes a loud clunking noise? what sould i do?

Was there a loud thump on the floor board? Could have broken a tranny mount.

i dont think so cause the right wheel locked up while i was pushing it so i believe its a rear end problem.

I shattered my posi into three pieces and the shrapnel jammed the gears. Sounds like what may have happened to you.

just took off my diff. cover and i broke three teeth off of my ring gear. ive never swapped any out before so would it be a challenge to do it my self? or should i just not even attempt it?

DONT. let a professional do it. if ya dont set'em up right yur gonna **** something up even worse. also this is a great time to upgrade them bitches

I did my own gears.

Not a big deal, just teach yourself how to set for backlash. Get/borrow a gauge. Not a big deal. I had 4.10s and then broke three teeth like you did off my ring gear, now I run 3.73s. Ive been ripping on these with sticky street tires for almost 3 months now, no issues.

ive been searching and i think im going with the 3.73 but the car actually had 3.11s on the car when i had botten it. i called up my cousin who is a ford powertrain specialist so hes worked with the worst cars so hes willing to help me out.

3.08's not 3.11's
