Default Turn signals work when they want, and very oddly...

OK, this is in my 95 Grand Am, but hopefully you guys can give me some common things to check out.

Sometimes the turn signals dont work at all. Checked the bulbs and they are all good. This morning I hit the signal, and nothing. Then I hit the hazards and the dash indicators didnt light up, but the rears worked, not the fronts. Turned it off and hit the signal again and they started to work. Sometimes if I hit the hazards only one indicator on the dash will light up.

I know it is hard to diagnose something like this, but I am just hoping that someone had some sort of similar issue they can give me advice on.

Thanks

Did you try to replace the blinker module. There should be 2 a blinker module and a hazard blinker module. You can pick them up at advance auto. That sounds like your problem.

Hmm, Well then the only thing I can think of is a short somewhere. Oh and did you change the blinker fluid remember it should be changed every 3000 miles or 6 months whichever comes first.

yeah I was hoping it would be easier than a ground issue. Those can be a pita to find. Blinker fluid is fine, just put synthetic in there lol

It is possible to be the turn signal switch on the steering column. I think the hazards still go through the turn signal switch you may want to try around there.
