Default OBD1 SCAN OR TUNE HELP or NY tuner?

Ok I am going to show that I am clueless when it comes to computer stuff. I am capable of understanding and problem finding but I need to know what I need to run a program on my laptop??

I know there are tons of free stuff but I would assume I need a cable of some sort. I just want a user friendly program that can tell me what is going on with my OBD1 LT1 set up. I would also like the ability to make adjustments. I always hear about OBD2 tuners but OBD1 seams to be lacking???

Please I have no problem paying as I know you get what you pay for.

Any REAL tuners with dyno in Long Island or tri state area. No clowns or somebody who just bought a used dyno and downloaded a free program. Not looking to save money but rather get the most out of my set up

Default

there some tuners in Jersey you can go to for a full on dyno session. cartek and ida automotive are in jersey.

tunercat and lt1edit if you want to try to tune the car yourself. i hear tunercat is easier to use and cheaper than lt1edit. do a search for any of these things and a bunch of stuff will pop up.
