LS1 into LT1 car?
What exactly is needed to do this? I know I need an engine, but would the tranny in a 97 LT1 work with a LS1? And other crap like that. Thanks for the input in advance.

You need everything. K-member, wiring harness, engine, computer, transmission, clutch, flywheel. Its not worth it. Buy an LS1 f body. Or scroll down 20 posts to see an identical post to this one. Don't be so worthless and try using the search feature. You should know better than to start worthless threads having posted over 1,000 posts on this site.

And I have a perfectly good car to put one in, it's just the engine pooped out on me. I'm buying another DD soon, so I was just pondering the idea, because there really is a lot more you can do with an LSX motor than an LTjuan!

I say go for it. And like '6786 said above if its something you plan on sticking with and you're up to the challenge than what the hell. And don't bother replying to the "worthless" type posts. Ignore them or let the mods handle them.
