I just bought ls1 427.

Bores are 4.094 need to bore and hone to 4.125

It has the darton MID sleves. Any recomended machines shops in Michigan. Any special procedures with these sleves. What is a nominal price for this work?

Any think else i should be aware or when doing this.

Read the above manual. The manual has honing instructions, proper coolant to use, correct head gaskets, proper break in procedures, etc.

I'm a bit concerned about the rough bore size you mentioned 4.094". The MID sleeves are semi finished to 4.100" to 4.105".

Take a digital photo of the deck surface of one bank and a close up of the top of one sleeve and e-mail it to me at:

I can tell what you have from the photo regarding the time line of the installed sleeves. Any clue who did the installation?
