Boosted LT1's need some suggestions
First off i have a 93 lt1 with the OFI single kit im looking into some transmission help. I have a stock 700r4 and dont really know what i need to be able to handle around 500-600 hp that i plan on having later on. I will eventually run about 12lbs of boost once i finish the forged motor. Ive looked at this site for stuff so far http://www.700r4l60e.com/store/customer/home.php?cat=19 im not gonna lie it looks cheap and gets the job done but im just trying to see what other lt1 users have for a built trans(i want to stay auto as well i know im going to need to do alot of work. So let me here what you think i should do or what you have done with your lt1's. thanks for any input
P.s Id like to stay with 700r4 since that why i save some money not having to buy a new trans as well along with the build.

What size turbo are you putting on the OFI kit, which did you choose A/A or A/W ? I think if your gonna do the tranny on the cheap it probably won't last long with 550 to 600 rwhp without a substantial build-up. JMO

You can buy a TH350 and have it race-built for less money than a simple overhaul on a 700R4. I broke 2 4L60E's at 500 rwhp before installing a $750 TH350. The TH350 has seen anywhere from 500 to 750 rwhp and I've been running it for 2 years, beating on it weekly, and it's been flawless.
