I am thinking of buying a Z28 that I test drove today, a few things strike me as odd, 1 it has A/C delete, 2 it has manual windows and side view mirrors, 6speed with the hurst shifter. No 1LE rpo code, but i only glanced for a second. Last 4th gen I owned was a 94 T/A before that it was 3rd Gens.

Car is an 01 Z28. Also had t-tops. I didn't snag all the RPO codes, but what gears normally come with the 6speed?

I know that GU5 and GU6 are 3.23 & 3.42 but I was curious anyhow.

no such thing as a factory A/C delete. all 4th gens came with A/C, not a deletable option

Not sure about ALL 4th gens, I know early 4th Gen 1LE's didn't have A/C, just like the 3rd gen 1LE's....I think '96 was the first year with factory A/C 1LE's

very strange...whats the carfax say? google some of the previous owners names and see what comes up. whom are you trying to buy it from? Id check into seeing if it was a drag car at one time, cause i personally have never heard of a stripper with ttops...thats strange. could have done a ttop conversion at some point though...does the stripping leak at all?

This is what I've always heard/thought also. I wanted to do a 1LE a/c, radio delete on my 2000 stripper hardtop, but was told I could not (at least since the LT1 days). I do know that GM made a few "body-in-white" LS1 body style shells/unibodies for licensed road racers, but NONE of these would EVER have t tops!!!
