Installing halos????? OK, I am trying to get these things on but the HALOs have a positve and negative wire I am supposed to connect to the negative and positive of the running/turn signal lights. my question is HOW?????? do i splice wires or do I insert them where the bulb goes. the instructions that came with them suck!!!!

That's what I did with mine. To make it very easy just go to any autoparts store and head to the electrical section. They have "taps" that are blue in color. They go over the wire you want to tap into and the wire for the halos will slide in next to it. Then you take a pair of pliers and squeeze the metal blade down into the tap and viola, the two wires have been connected without any cutting, splicing, electric tape, soldering, or heat shrink tubing.

That exactly what I just used when I connected mine last night. For the moment they are spliced into my DRL (orange lights on the front) circuit. Eventually I want to wire them up to another Fog light Switch on the interior so I can turn them on and off as I please.
FYI on my 99 Camaro for the DRL circuit, the brown wire has constant power and the blue is switched (for turn signal) and black is the ground. Pics of the Halos in action can be seen here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...2&page=2&pp=20

cool got the wires spliced and all is hooked up. although there is this gap around the housing. is this one of those things I have to deal with. it wasn't there with the original headlights in place.

Mine are wired up with the fog lights. But I can't turn my fog lights on unless my car is on. And when my car is on my headlights are always on....opinions.
I also used the stock brackets. The aftermarket ones are rediculous.
I knew it would have a gap but I don't really notice it.

I wired mine to the running lights.
To fix the gap, I just put about 5 washers in between the bolt/screw to act as a spacer and push the halo a little further out.

Ok, I will leave it as is. I do like the look, just wish they fit tighter than that. Pics coming soon. Also, any idea where I can go and learn how properly set up the headlights??

I want to put halo rings around my factory fog lights. does anyone know if they make halos that size and where I can get them? If not, is there an aftermarket fog light that will fit the factory hole with halos? thanks

i hooked mine up two days ago but i hooked it to the parking light instaed of the fog lights thought it would be better if i wanted the halos on without the fogs but either way is good
