Default RPM and Yank get me all fixed up

Had an ongoing tranny/converter issue. Sent my converter back to Yank, got it back, sent it back , tried another type/stall, sent it back, tried another, etc. RPM did the tranny work, inspected the tranny and found no problems. They pulled the tranny, sent off the converter to Yank, and put it all back together for a HELL of a price. Yank sent me a fresh custom built converter, PT3800, works great. Both companies stand behind their work and are great to deal with.

Great companies to work with!

I am having problems with a new Vigilante converter installed in a new RPM tranny..

Question,,,
Why did you have to send the Yank back & forth 3 different times?
Did it take that many converters until you got one that worked?

My Vig 3600 is netting me higher 60' times by .1-.15 compared to the Vig 3200 it replaced & slowing me down by more than 2/10's.

I am assuming its a bad converter...
Tranny is shifting fine..

I should be running mid 11.30's to 11.40's
Fri & Sat I ran mid 11.60's & 11.70's..

In the last 2 yrs my car NEVER saw 11.60, even in 95 degrees & +4000 DA....

Like to hear your exact story as to why all the back & forth.

PI 2800....good all around converter, wanted more stall....
PI 3400 multidisc....suked ***, broken from day one! sent it back a couple of times, finally got pissed and got a new Yank PT4000.

Yank PT4000....GREAT motor converter, blow through on nitrous. Sent it back

Was burned from nitrous, got a SS3600...

Didn't like how it was on motor, but pulled nicely on nitrous. I got greedy, wanted more on motor, and still good on juice....sent it back...

Talked to Yank for a while, they custom made me a PT3800 to be aggressive, but not blow through on nitrous.

Got it all back and runs great.
