Default Meziere water pump=better E.T.?

Hey guy's, just wondering if it's worth the money for an electric wp. Has anyone seen a reduction in E.T.?

I purchased one for my car.

I dont think you will notice gains except that the car when hot lapped will run cooler.

i noticed that the engine revs up faster. that tells me that the ewp is freeing up some parasitic drag and putting the motor in "power band" quicker.

I just installed it, and yes i notice the engine reving a bit faster... the power is a minimal gain but it will be nice at the staging lanes at the track.

I like mine in traffic a lot ... let mine sit and idol for literally 2-3 hours ... a few times. Definitely takes some strain off the motor.

10 mpg is a pretty strong statement. I do believe it does take about a 3-5% load off the motor, it should equate to much better gas mileage if you do the math. It takes some power to flow water through the narrow ports in the motor to keep it running cool.

Better gas mileage? Yes.

10 mpg? I don't see it.

Would I buy the EWP again? Sure, but not if I needed gears or cam or stall converter. This was my last mod after my motor build. If you need other power/performance producers, I'd do it last.

I'll be getting one in hopes of making my tunes even more stable - kinda sucks sitting there idling and watching your ECT creep up and up and up, driving my A/F ratio lean (open loop tune).

I was spinning the stock pump so fast with so much torque the coolent system couldnt contain it and it would over flow out of the resevore .

Now its all good

haha. nice Russ. That probaly looked like when Ron's LT1 dumped its coolant everywhere!

But yea, I know the 10mpg thing is a bit off, But its in someones sig. They got somewhere into the 30mpg range supposidly just by adding the Miezere WP.
