whats the best type of battery to put into an 81 trans am//thnks

thats a strange question but if your like me the biggest that will fit i like to jam with the car turned off ,

Take it from a auto repair shop owner, and I am serious, spend a couple of extra bucks and get an INTERSTATE battery. Lots of reasons and it would take to long to explain but you can pm me if you like.

Yep... he's right. There is not a better battery on the market for the money. This is an experience based comment.

I spent over 20 years in new car dealership service departments and have seen them all. As a service advisor ...in over 5 years on the drive I replaced hundreds and hundreds of "stock" ( made by Exide to factory specs) batteries with Interstate units and warrantied 1.

I will not install a different battery.

Same thing here, our repair shop is affiliated with a major parts brand distributor. We don't like their batteries (made by Exide) even though we do display them we never recomend them. We do like INTERSTATE. FYI shop open since 1982.
