Default what compound tire for a M6?

Hey guys, i am looking at a set of hooisers and im woundering what compound you guys are using for a m6. I have a set of M/T et streets right now and im not happy with them. The best 60' i have cut is a 1.61. I am thinking about the QTP. The sales rep told me the slick and the QTP were the same compound just the QTP's had grooves cut in them. What do you guys think i should get. thanks Charles

I have managed 1.482 with the 26" QTP. Last week I got 1.508 on a 27".

I have been happy with them so far. I may go to an all out slick next year though.

The tires aren't your problem, it is your suspension. Don't feel bad though, I ran the times in sig with a 1.64 60' so I have to tweak on my suspension also.
