Default TH 350/drive shaft

I have a 2001 Z28 m6 car and was wanting to put a 350 with a brake in it. but my ? was do i need to cut the drive shaft or will the factory one be the right size for right now, and i think the out put shafts on a 56 and a 350 are the same size so i could use the factory yoke but im not sure. so any help would be great

You can use your stock driveshaft as long as the 350 Turbo has a 9" tail housing; so it is a direct bolt in

But I reccomend against it. It works, I am currently doing this only because Im a cheap ***. It looks to be about an 1" or 2" shorter than I would like it to be. You can get the drive shaft lengthened I think. Yes the factory yoke works.

I would get a Denny's Nitrous Ready shaft. He custom builds them so there's no question about fit. The one he built for me is so snug. If you're going to run a brake, then you might need it anyway. It has the 1350 yokes on it and he guarantees it for life.
