Default How much power do the LS7 injectors support?

This is another option for me as more than likely I'll be going with the L76 intake kit, which come with the LS7 injectors. I just need to know how much power they will support so that I know to keep or cancel them as an option.

I went ahead and ordered the intake kit complete with LS7 injectors and LS2 rails. Does anyone have the slightest clue how much they support? Or, how much power have you pushed with them?

According to that formula, 538 bhp (motor hp) is what a 42 lb. injector will support. Doesn't sound right. I would think that it would support more power than that. I know Katech used LS7 injectors and worked fine on a 640 bhp engine.

Altering the VE changes the calculation quite a bit.

Does the LS7 have more fuel rail pressure than the LS1 F-bodies? I thought LS1 F-bodies were around 52-53 psi. If so, wouldn't more fuel pressure make the lb./hr. go higher? I thought the LS7 injectors were 42 lbs., but I guess that's dependent on fuel pressure.

I believe the stock LS7 fuel pressure is the same as all other LSx vehicles. 58.5psi

Well I got the intake including the LS2 fuel rails and LS7 injectors. If the LS7 injectors end up not being enough, I'll have to space the rails, use longer bolts, and thicker o-rings to use EV1 type injectors. The EV6 type injector, which is what the LS7 injectors are, are much shorter than the LS1 (EV1) injectors.

I plan to make around 650 to the motor, so roughly 550 to the wheels. I figured in 18% drivetrain loss, because I'll be using a TH350, huge stall unlocked, steel driveshaft, 12 bolt with 4.56 gear, spool, and 30" slicks. Even at 15% drivetrain loss, that's around 632 hp to the motor.

How do you calculate injector duty cycle? I guess this will be the best way to figure out if the LS7 injectors are going to be sufficient.
