Scat I-beam cap-screw rods any good? These are the 7/16th rod bolts not the 3/8th.

This style of connecting rod is rated at 700 HP @ 7500 rpm with the ARP 8740 cromemoly rod bolts. If you upgrade those to the ARP 2000 rod bolts it should give you another 50-75 HP out of the same rods. Lunati makes a similar looking rod with the higher tensile strength bolts that they rate to 950 HP.
The Scat H-beams are only rated to 750 HP with the 8740 rod bolts! The I-beam rods are very strong and are a good comprimise between $ and strength.

How many RPMS do you turn? Ill be spinning it to no more than 6200. Also is there a big difference between the 3/8th cap screw and the 7/16th cap screws?
