Default I'm dumb. Gotta question for you guys.

Alright, I coming home and all of a sudden, I push on the gas and nothing. Crap. Im thinkin opti immediately because of all the rain we have had, but then a lightbulb went on inside my head. GAS. Crap, I'm on empty, literally, which in F-bods means we have negative amounts of gas. I try to go easy and coast it to the nearest gas station, but I die about a block away. Well the car is running fine now but i have a SES light on.

My question is, will running the car out of gas hurt anything? Is there anything I should do after? Will the SES light go away?

Have it scanned or pull the ECM fuse and see if it comes back.

You could damage the fuel pump, just have the PCM resetted, and you should be fine.

Thanks for the quick replies, car seems to be driving fine so I hope nothing mechanical is messed up. I was just wondering what could get messed up by doing that.

Sometimes.

Little particles can get clogged in the injectors and cause minor skips to major stuttering.
Doesnt happen often, but it happens.

Run some 91 or 93 Octane with one bottle of Fuel Injector Cleaner if youre worried.
