light tap??

light tap?? Whenever I start the car and just let it idle, I hear a very very faint tick or tap. I hear it more underneath the car, could it be exhaust leak and how would I check it?? Its 99 T/A,a4

Does it go away once the car warms up? Could be the infamour piston slap, but that was more prevelant on the later years from what I understand. My 01 does it, but my 98 motor didn't.
