Default what are 42lb injectors good too

Will be H/C/I in a few weeks and looking to be around 465 NA. I know duty cycle on that will be getting high. I have a walbro 255 that I will be putting in very soon. I also will be spraying a 100 shot on top of that so I want to know if 42lb injectors will be ok with that set up. Should see high 500HP numbers. Thanks

I heard the svo 42's are good for around 530-550 rwhp on a supercharged car. I would think you could get more hp out of them with your setup. No Idea how much more tho.
Hope this helps.

I have seen only 67% with a N/A car making 530hp. If you are using a wet nitrous kit, the injectors make no difference.

is that 67% duty cycle? So will I be ok on 42lb for high 500HP numbers or should I just go with 60lb. Thing is wont 60lb be to big for mainly being a NA set up?

42lbs will be just fine. The 67% was the duty cycle. This is on a 383ci motor as well.

Just for another point here. Everyone knows Tims Camaro (HOSS). It is a 421ci that runs 9's. He uses 42lb injectors as well.

Also, you have to know whether that injector was rated at 42 lbs. at our fuel pressure rate or Fords. Because a SVO 42 lb. fuel injector is really around 47-48 at our pressure.

The LS7 injector is 40 or 42, but again, that's at our rate. So a LS7 40-42 lb. injector will support less power than a SVO 42 lb. injector because its really 47-48 at our fuel pressure rate.

At a 15% drivetrain loss, which is a good estimate with a TH400, big stall (I assume), etc. would put you at 563 to the motor. It may even be more depending on your drivetrain setup. With mine, there may be an even bigger loss as I have a TH350, 5500 stall, steel driveshaft, 4.56 gear (spool), and 30" slicks.

Sure don't sorry, you'd have to ask Jayson that question.

Peace,
Craig.

Fedge, how much power are you putting down though with that 50% duty cycle?

trey04gto, any idea what duty cycle? It may be good to look into before spending the time, effort, and money upgrading the injector.

42#s will be fine. That is what the experts told me when I told them my end goal of 550RWHP and that is with a dry shot.

Wait... arn't the SVO (green) injectors called 42.5?

When I dynoed my (procharged) car over a year ago at MTI I hit 544rwhp with the 42.5 (green top) SVOs.

Some people call them 42s, some people call them 42.5s. Either way, they're around 47-48 lbs. in our vehicles being that we have a higher fuel pressure rate.
