poly mounbt or solid mount?
my engine shakes!!! stupid cam lol the exhaust hits the floor pan. I just noticed this when i gutted the interior of the car. besides the point i broke a trans mount.. dunno why its still stock.. shouldnt of been...but can which should I go with a poly engine or solid engine mounts? I dont want to shake the car into peices but it would be nice to not hear a clunck when i shift hard and the entire car to shake instead of just the engine

I have solids on my DD and its not bad at all, only real vibration is the one I described in my other post, I imagine with a manual you wouldnt even have that problem.

I have an M6 with Spohn solid mounts and cant even tell a difference between them and the poly that I switched from.

I had a poly trans mount with poly engine mounts and the drivetrain was *tight*....probably as tight as it needed to be in most cases.
I had solid mounts in my previous car (91 SHO) and there was definately more "vibration", enough to notice but not enough to care about...except passengers who complained about the drivetrain noise and vibration. Solid mounts are probably overkill. Ymmv.
