Default How much is this worth?

Hello, I was riding down the road with a friend and came across a:
red 1999 Trans Am WS6 with the SLP package. It has 109,XXX miles and has a small crack in a sideskirt and two dents with chips to the metal at the rear by the spoiler..

How much is this worth?
He wants $9,800 for it.

Offer them no more than $7,000 for it. Body damage isn't cheap to repair.

Not sure what you mean about the SLP package? Is that something that's written on the "for sale" sign?

Those are probably just SLP items that were purchased seperately and put on the car. Is the car a real WS6? Check the build code decal on the driver's door to see if it has WS6 listed.

Without seeing pics, I'd say $7500-8000 based on your description. Miles are high, paint isn't great.

It sure isn't!! You may want to look and see if you can find one without body damage before you jump on this one.

As far as the 'SLP' badge on the back.... I've seen people stick those on the back of these cars alot.... I'm sure its just a badge people put on for looks. I've seen the SLP badge put on on T/As, Formulas and even V6 birds before.

Only in 96 and 97, after that, GM started building them in-house, but cars could be ordered with options installed by SLP.

$7000 even sounds alot for a t/a over 100,000 miles with damage. I have seen some z/28 and t/a's with over 100,000 w/ no damage mid 6's. My buddy bought a 1999 camaro ss convertible with 90,000 miles on it for $7400 about 3 months ago and it was in great condition.

He wants $9800 for 110,000 mile car, that needs work? IMO is way to much, even if it is a true WS6, we picked up for my stepson, who is in Kuwait, a 98 T/A with 60,000 miles, and Ram Air hood, this car was stored in the winter in heated garage, never smoked or eatin in, in perfect condition, for $10,500, granted it's not a true WS6, looks like one, but for only $700 more, it has 50,000 less and in perfect condition, I guess my point is, keep looking, you will find the "right" car, for a fair price, they are out there

i believe asc did the ws6 and ss conversions in the later years?

and the previous owner of my ws6 put on an slp badge on the back too, but the only slp part i have is the loudmouth.
