ok first off...if the tranny is out of an fbody...you need to scrap the detent rod on the side of the tranny...the rod that the cable attaches to on the tranny...and also get a new cable bracket that bolts to the pan...and buy new ones from a S10...you can get a pretty good deal on them at the dealership cause they arent any big part. just go in and tell them you need the detent rod and the cable bracket....if you cant explain it to them what you want just have them show you the diagram and point it out.

Just order the bracket and cable for the blazer and it will bolt up it's the same transmission. You'll have to cut a oval hole under the driver's seat for the cable to pass through. It comes with a big rubber grommet that will snap into the floor.

Default Shift Cable Question...

Anyone know if the 2001 Camaro 4L60E was a shift cable...or mechanical linkage? Thanks, Gar

The reasoning for the detent rod out of a blazer/S10 is so you can run the OEM P/N safety switch...as far as anything hitting...mine has plenty of room and doesnt hit anything...a picture would help alot on how you have it hooked up...
