Why a new K member? That a lot of money for not much if any perceptible gain. Thats usually one of the last mods anyone does.

Id do something on the order of:

$100 - Air Lid

$450 - Long Tube headers
$450 - Duals or catback

$400 - cam
$250 - springs
$100 - pushrods
$150 - misc gaskets and fluids

Depending on what you want out of the cam, this could get you to the 375 - 400 RWHP range.

You will probably need some sort of tune after a cam. Yes. You really don't know what kind of headache a k member install can be do you?

Man, if you want to DO IT RIGHT, you start from the differential and work up/foreward. You build a car backwards with a goal in mind. Get a 9" or 12-bolt, depending on how much power you want (9" for ***** to the wall). Then worry about suspension/tranny, then do your power mods.

when you get the k member off , drop the oilpan and change the rod bolts to some higher tensile stuff . katech / arp makes some direct replacements. I ve lost a engine to weak reciprocating parts. It failed from the stock bolts .
Asc has ws6 hoods for $695 + shipping .

forget the k-member for now, try and return it if you already bought it and the vette o2 doesnt matter either.
id do headers and cat back, gear, ta dff cover, ported TB, ls6 intake, lid, pulley, and a dyno tune nitrous kit ($269).
