Why a new K member? That a lot of money for not much if any perceptible gain. Thats usually one of the last mods anyone does.
Id do something on the order of:
$100 - Air Lid
$450 - Long Tube headers
$450 - Duals or catback
$400 - cam
$250 - springs
$100 - pushrods
$150 - misc gaskets and fluids
Depending on what you want out of the cam, this could get you to the 375 - 400 RWHP range.

Man, if you want to DO IT RIGHT, you start from the differential and work up/foreward. You build a car backwards with a goal in mind. Get a 9" or 12-bolt, depending on how much power you want (9" for ***** to the wall). Then worry about suspension/tranny, then do your power mods.

when you get the k member off , drop the oilpan and change the rod bolts to some higher tensile stuff . katech / arp makes some direct replacements. I ve lost a engine to weak reciprocating parts. It failed from the stock bolts .
Asc has ws6 hoods for $695 + shipping .
