Pictures of my Sweet *** Fuel System.
I lied.
This is what happens when you get a builder that doesnt want to run SS line all the way front and back. Who is in a hurry, and thinks "this" will work fine.
First off, it sounded good to me when he said he was going to run the line all the way to to tank, that was fine. It would work and perform.
The next day i come to the shoppe to find this:
Scratched AN Fittings
Goopey **** all over the rails, and scratched rails
Flared Hard lines under the drivers seat, and the new line connects right there, its not run all the way back like discussed.
A FPR mounted on the firewall (not NHRA Legal) and a PITA to reach and work with.
At that point, i was pissed, i didnt care though i wanted the car out of the shop.
NOW
Ive decide to redo all the fuel, ive taken the reg off, sold it. All the lines off except the back drivers side rail and drained the front half of the car, taken the hard lines off all the way to the pump, and am taking the pump out tonight.
So tonight I figured id finish it up and take the last peice off, guess what...........Its ******* STRIPPED ON THE RAIL!! Cool.
So im struglling trying to get it off, it comes 3/4 the way, but wont budge anymore, i now decide to take the rail off and work with it off the car. But nothing, its so stuck on there its rediculous. At this point im going to buy new rails, ones taht wont get raped in the *** when installed.

Just throwing more money out to fix his mistakes.

i believe thats grounds for a bad mark from the BBB. some ******* i used to have work on my car left the fuel lines unattached to the fender under the hood and when i got my car home they were laying on the egr melted and gas was spewing everywhere. i did nothing about it. (besides fix it) now i wish i did.

Looks like its time for somebody to pay up for the quality parts he destroyed.. My daughter could have done a better job than that. Well I have been lucky because I haven't ever had anybody touch my car with a wrench, Just got lucky and had a father that got me into the hobby at a young age.

Tony.
i hate to hijack this, but do you have a link or the text for this rule?
im planning on mounting my FPR to a bracket on the firewall... (LS1 in a 3rdgen leaves some room there where the distributor used to be)
im trying to keep the whole car NHRA legal, and i have the book somewhere (i just moved into a new house) but i dont recall reading about this, and it might effect my fuel system plans....

What a worthless person Probably was using a pliers on it.
And Speed, set your camera to "Close Up" when you take pics like that lol If it's a Kodak, it's the last option that looks like a flower

Well,
Here is how it works, myself and an old buddy are 18, we both had motors build by him last year.
Being young, he treats you like ****, and gives you deadlines he cant meet, he also does stuff like this.
So EVEN if i went in to talk, he would beat around the bush and nothing would happen, im not going to drag my parents in this either, ill see what can be done.

Try a little bit of propane heat on the end of the fuel, and vice grip the fitting off. Put the rail in a bench vice with wood so you dont scratch it. Try to keep the rails, they look ok other then that right?
