Default Valve Stem Length?? Ls1/ls6/ls2

JUST WONDERING, IS THERE A DIFFERENCE IN VALVE LENGHT FROM AN LS1 TO AN LS2? GM states max valve lift for an LS6 or LS2 head is .570 I currently am running an LS1 with stock heads with SLP .600 max lift springs, and would like to move to ported GM LS2 heads. Max lift on current cam is .576. obviously past .570 on an LS1 head. anything to worry about with changing over to a LS2 head and use same cam?? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Valve stem length doesnt determine max valve lift, springs do. the ported ls2 heads you refer to are the same ls6 castings as the ls6 so that should answer your question that yes they'll work fine if you put a decent spring on them.

Also this question would be easily answered if you use search.

Valve stem length doesnt determine max valve lift, springs do
Springs are one factor, but I hope that's not all you would be checking!
