I'll sell you the supercharger that won't fit under your hood!!
Or a crankshaft with stripped snout threads!!
Or a good crankshaft out of a 5.3!!
Or....ummmm.....that's about all that's left!

Found metal shavings in the pan, which ended up being nothing, but I pulled the cam out of it to check the cam bearings, and when I went to reinstall the balancer pulley I stripped the threads out of the crank. Since it would need to be pulled apart to balance the rotating assy again with a new crank, I decided it was time to just go ahead with the 408 that I've been wanting anyway. At least the 6.0 lasted 6 months!!

Criss Engine and Machine in Tucson is going to do the machine work for me. I have a friend in Tucson too who is an engine builder too so that's the plan for assembly.

Sounds good Brett. It'll be about a month before I'm ready to go again. Hey....do you know anything about MKII Toyota Supras? I'm doing a head gasket swap on one right now. Want to help me put it back together tomorrow morning?

Once the big stuff gets sold from the firebird I need to pick up a DD then I have to see what funds allow for. I think I might go the 402 LS2 route, not sure if i want the extra weight of the iron block.
