ok, so im not sure if this is in the right section, but anyway, i cant seem to figure out how to get the passenger side airbag out without damaging the cover underneath. the car is a 94 z28. any info would be much appreciated. thanks!

my passenger side air bag in my 1995 deployeed and I remember it ripping through my dash pad so I would think the dash pad would have to be removed to access the bag, although I no longer have the car anymore. But I did remember seeing this link maybe it will help you. I think there is gold in the airbag assembly too as gold is the best conductor of electricity and the bag needs to deploy as fast as it can, so dont ever toss it away without checking for gold first

Used to have the manual for removing both (8 years ago!), got it from the dealer. Will check around for it then scan to post.

To bring an old thread back up, but does anybody have any help with this? How to remove the passenger side airbag? Then put the dash back together, to where it looks factory..

I dont know a easy way , I have a part car the best way i found was take the dash loose pull it out far enough where i could gat to the bag without tearing up the dash .
