Default What RPM to stall at?

I am wanting to eventually get a TSP228R cam and so I am asking what converter should I get now that will work well with that cam? I am hoping 3500 stall will work or maybe even higher but figured you guys would know better than me, also this is my DD.

Also, is my car going to need to be retuned immediately or not, I want to install gears at the same time so I am thinking I will just have it tuned anyway for the speedo.

For the cam yes you will need a tune, no questions asked. Especially if you are thinking about an aftermarket converter. A bad tune can make the TCC act up and not want to stay locked.

You have the right idea, in the 3500 range for a DD car, but opinions on what is "tolerable" vary wildly in here

I'd vote for a Yank SS3600 but I may be biased. At least thats what I ended up at after all my research and I don't regret it.

No need for a tune after a TC install, shure there are some things that could be tweeked, but you can easily drive around like normal untill the cam install. I'm with Black Hawk on the SS3600 they are nice converters!!
