Special Edition Vehicles - 98 SS?

I have a 98 SS camaro with cloth seats, manual windows, no power locks and no cruise. The car has a factory 12 disc cd changer with the monsoon stereo. It does have the Wu8 code, but was i was wondering if anyone had any info on these cars. How many made etc. thanks

According to GM and SLP, heres the break down:

Total built = 2874
Convertibles = 478

The cloth seats, no power anything and stereo arn't unusual. 1998 was the first year for the LS1 motor in a Camaro. If its in good condition, hang on to it. I've got other production counts if needed.

yes sebring 00 is right they only made 28xxx ss one way to find out if its an ss call slp thats what i did mines a 98 ss #349

plus it say WU8 on the codes, that way you don't waste a phone call, your car can tell you

Please understand that you'll find a lot of conflicting info about the 98 SS cars. The best production counts to date are:

Arctic White Coupe.........248.
1485 were 6-speed no matter what color.
Some came with optional Hurst Shifter, Torsen Differential, Exhaust and Chrome wheels.

1998 was the first year for the WU8 Code.
