I have one that is nearly brand new, less then 5k miles. It is vented though.

Might as well just shell out for the correct one then :\ While the vented is nicer, it'll cost the same/more to get it working, right?

I know its a lot of cash... but opt for the MSD distributor... I got mine for less $$ than the GM opti and it has a conversion for 94 cars to vent it... so no more OPTI problems.... having it on the car will get you a few $ more when you go to sell it also

all the work of putting one in and getting a used one and having to yank it out again.. not worth the hassle

BTW do you have the link to where you got the MSD Opti? I'm interested in getting one, especially if I can get it for around the price of an OEM one.

Thanks!

My Camaro club had arranged dealer pricing for us here in Toronto, and I also had dealer pricing with my Chev dealer... but that is up here..

I've seen it at Summit for $500 which is too high.... my MSD cost me less than the dealer opti..
so search around... perhaps there are vendors on this forum that give a reasonable price...

up here the prices are always higher than you get in the states..
