Default WTB: Beater for Ohio winters

I'm looking to buy a car to drive during the winter's here in Ohio. I'm from the south, so my snow driving skills are not that good. Add the facts a 07 Mustang GT isn't good in the snow and drivers up here are idiots, it would be in my best interest to find a "snow bird" to drive when the weather outside is frightful! Here are some specifics (outside the fact it should run):

MUST HAVES
Automatic transmission (I can drive stick, but sucks in snow)
Cloth seats
Working heater, defroster, wipers, and driver's side window
No major mechanical defects (don't want to drop a tranny after 2 weeks)

WANT
4x4 truck
FWD car/truck
NO RWD vehicles please

LOCATION
I'd be willing to travel up to 200 miles from Dayton, Ohio. If you are near Crossville, TN I'd be willing to consider that as well

PRICE
Ahhhh price. Max I'd be willing to pay is $1000. The cheaper the better. This vehicle will only serve as a to/from work vehicle on days the roads are full of snow/slush, or projected snow days.

If you, or someone you know, has anything, let me know!

4k is too much at this time.

The types of things I've been looking at have been mid 90s Pontiacs (always wanted a tin-indian), late 90s Ford Taurus/Mercury Sable (owned a 97 Sable before, descent car), 80s Ford/Chevy trucks (yay 4x4). Also looking at heavy family sedans, though most are RWD (Caddies, Lincolns, ect). Just wanna steer clear from ultra-light cars, and RWD vehicles.
