Removal of the factory Sport Appearance Package
Looking at a Camaro that has the stock SAP setup. If I were to buy it, I'd want to ditch the ground effects. Just wondering what all is involved in removing them. Is it held to the body with adhesive? Or mounting screws? Can it be removed without leaving any evidence?
I'd probably be willing to leave the extra lip on the spoiler, but the rest has to go.
Anyone that has pulled the SAP off, please let me know what the deal is.
Thanks.

is it the entire kit? front and rear lip and the side skirts...if it is...and its stock it will have dbl sided tape down the middle all the way around and will have to stock plastic rivets holding the skirts on and inside the wheel wells.....it will come off nice u will see little holes in the wells though if it has the plastic rivets....but if its the factory kit...depending on color and shape i would be interested in buying from u

I removed mine on my Pewter Z28. It will leave a number of holes, barely noticable but there, on the underside of the car. If you get on the ground and look behind the pieces you can see exactly where these holes are and determine if you can live with them.

Thanks for the info guys.
And yes it is the stock GM kit, and it's on a white car.

Yep, had the SAP on my car when I bought it. The sides are held on by rivets, that do leave holes slightly under the car, you can see them from standing to the side, but there not that bad.
Also there will be holes under the front and back bumper cover, but they cannot be seen unless you bend down and look under the car. I think it makes the car look much better without the SAP, plus you can sell the pieces and buy some real mods. LOL

To all:
I did not buy the car that had these, so please don't PM me asking if i want to sell them. I don't have the car and don't have any ground effects for sale.
I've received a couple PMs, probably by mistake about this so I just wanted to clear it up.
Thanks.

Just removed mine. What about that decklid spoiler? Bolt holes, or 3M tape?
