cattless y pipe for stock manifolds?
ok I have searched for a good half hour now and I can't find what im looking for so I will ask!
ok i have a 98 z I have a tsp cat back on it but it's not loud enough for my taste so can i get a y pipe that replaces my cats but still hooks up to the stock manifolds? (I know i have to get o2 sims)
I know I should go long tubes but I can't afford them and I want a louder car! what can I say I love to **** off my neighbors
if so who makes the cheapest one?
thanx in advanced guys this site rocks! it helps alot

save your cash and go with lts when you can afford it. Your gonna spend x amount of cash to ditch your cats with stock manifolds nad when you do headers, you'll have to spend that cash again on a y pipe. you can get uncoated pacesetters for 280 with a ory for 120, thats onyl 400!

I was in your same position. So i bought a cutout and i love it, not to mention it is very cheap less than $100 installed. I would just buy a cutout until you can get LT's. I will be getting LT's and ORY and run it thru my cutout soon

on the contrary... i put a MAC ORY for stock manifolds and gained 16rwhp on the dynapack... those stock cats and Y pipe are bad..
WS6 store sells the MAC ORY.. very easy and clean to install.. its cheap too.

If your just wanting to do it for sound and dont need to keep your original Y in good shape for emissions, just take your Y off and gut the cats. Thats what I have done while im saving for LT's and the car sounds alot better and only about 1-2 hrs worth of work, and best of all its free!

I had the MAC offroad y-pipe and sims. (rear O2s) Worked good and looked a lot bigger compared to stock. Think it splits the difference between headers and stock. Did sound better too. PM if you want to buy the stuff, not even rusty.

i would just save up for headers if i was you. i mean you can get pacesetters dirt cheap and then the y-pipe would be the same if you bought one for your car with the stock manifolds
