Default Exhaust for 383 D1SC Street car????

Guys I am trying to figure out the exhaust system I need for my setup that will be optimum for the street (not annoying) but non-restrictive at the track.
Right now I have a Jet-hot LT's with 2.5 true duels with a 16inch dynomax bullet on each side dumping at the axle on my bolt-on setup.
In my opinion if the exhaust ran out the back it wouldn't probably annoy me as much but I the true duels seem to rattle the console time to time

I am wanting to go back to a y-pipe design running it out the back like factory. Here's my thoughts http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku (this would be 3inch from the headers to this y then it transits to 3.5 inch)
Then from the 3.5 inch y-collector run this 3.5-3.5inch Magnaflow muffler (engineermike has had great success with this one)
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku
From the muffler back I want to run 3.5 inch (all mandral bend) to my corsa clone tips.

Everyone think this would be sufficent on a 650-700RWHP setup daily driver??? I have heard clips of the magnaflow and they seem tame under normal driving but unreal at WOT .

Any Opinions

I like my Borla. If its to loud you can swap plates and tone it down, then at the track run an open plate for less restriction. Just my opinion though.

My brother had the Adjustable Borla and I really liked it. I really didn't like the $750 plus price tag but you pay to play. I thought about doing a Borla XR1 though, but I have heard of guys making within a few hp without a muffler and the magnaflow I listed above on a wide LSA camshaft.

Yeh, i like the magnaflow. I've got 2 friends running that with LT's and ORY and it is quiet at idle and then at WOT it sounds pretty good. You can usually find a used borla on here for 400-500. Either way, you shouldnt be disappointed.

Corsa anyone? I'm pushing 600 wheel and at normal speeds it's tame too me, almost too tame. Dosen't sound like a borla or flowmaster either, certainly a distinct sound. It's so magical I don't even listen to my radio. Ask the fella I sold my speakers too.

It'll work. I just had some comments last night on how unbelievably quiet and fast my car is (though I do have a turbo to quiet it down some also).

Well, I ordered the Magnaflow muffler mike and I ordered about 8 feet of 3.5 aluminzed Stainless steel and about 6 Header collector flanges b/c I am going to make it setup like the Borla Adjustable (have one that is completly open, one welded completly up, one with about a 2.5 hole, and anohther one built around a 1.5 inch) basically going to be like a Borla setup but with the magnaflow and the adjustable plates so I can run it ALL through the muffler on the street and at the track run the wide open plate so most of the exhaust will bypass the muffler or anything in between. A lot like a Cutout but with more options IMO.

I really don't think you'll see a performance gain by bypassing the 3.5" Magnaflow.

Here's the thread for the exhaust I made for my car. It's suprisingly mellow while idling and cruising. It's a 346ci vs your 383ci though. There's a couple short vids in the thread so you can hear it.

I really hate having to flip a switch or remove a plate in order to make power. That's what I like about my $200 3.5" Magnaflow. No power increase when it's removed.
