where do you hook it up? like an autometer gague mechancial or electric

Above the oil filter, remove the small piece that's bolted onto the block with 2 bolts. Just remove and tap it, you'll see where the sending unit goes. I used a 45 degree elbow to give the sending unit clearance between the block.

That's where LS69TA is talking about and where I put mine.
I didn't use an elbow, however it was tight. A 45* isn't a bad idea.
