i've got an extra comp cam that was sent to me accidentally when i bought mine. they sent 2. i just had it dyno tuned and it put down 338hp 358tq. you can barely tell its cammed as well.

Comp Cam - cca-07-503-8

My copy of camquest said that the Comp 503 would be a great choice. In fact, it was the #1 option. It also says this

I'd say go with that extra 503!

The converter is kind of a gimme, you're going to want one anyways... so why not do it regardless of cam. RR's are nice but not a must because it's not that much lift, valvesprings are almost a must, and cheap insurance you don't float a valve and ding a piston, and gears to get the most out of it, but again, as $$$ permits. If it was me, I'd swoop up on that 503 if you can get a good deal on it. And you'll need a new flash for sure. That's pretty easy though.

Buy things in pieces, and just slam them on your car at once. I say get the cam now if at a good price. Get your springs next, hunt down a good deal, and then get the stall. Gears are recommmended, but not as important as the springs, and stall.

I dont know who is gonna put it in, or if you do it yourself(the best way), your gonna need a gasket kit for when you take it apart.

All of this is assuming you have headers and intake already.
