You can try some steel wool rubbed very lightly. When I worked at Harley, we would use it on the chrome to remove stubborn things like rust, tar, etc.

I got chrome zr1's and was suckerd into the mothers crome polish. I didn't get the shine I expected. I bought some eagle 1 nano polish and it made a difference even after I polished them with the mothers. The eagle 1 cleaned off some of the junk/crap that I thought I'd have to live with forever. It was really cool wipe on untill clean then wipe off, it will leave a protective film on the rim. Im impressed with the product. Hope my long winded *** helps.

I would not use steel wool no matter how lightly you rub.

Mother's metal/mag wheel polish (paste). Not their chrome polish (it's weak in comparison).

Then just maintain them with wax.

I used mother's chrome polish with their mini powerball on a drill and it worked perfectly for me. Maybe it's the amount of mileage ?

quadruple zero (0000) steel wool will work wonders. it does not scratch chrome, i use it all the time on my wheels. not one mark left on them.

My recommendation would be Eagle One All Wheel and Tire to clean, followed by a quality chrome polish, and then seal them with a durable paint sealant.

KLASSE AIO my HERO!!!

i just pure small amount on a clean micro fiber cloth and rub on defected area's with little elbow grease it took out all the oxidation and rust ...trust me guys klasse do wonder's , Klasse doesn't have abrassive like other wheel polishe's so it will not dull chrome finishes in the long run ....
