Wrong forum, but I'll help you out anyway...

Passenger side head. Remove Starter, there is a big plug there. Can't remember the part number off the top of my head, but I think that Autometer has it on their site. They make an adapter to fit that hole. Run the wire to your gauge, and you're good.

Oh, don't open your mouth when you undo the plug.

It's where I used, and HPTuners confirms that ECT's are within 2* of being correct as read by the computer.

So that you don't get coolant in it, of course.

I have my sensor in a plug on the side of the pass. side head. It replaces the plug that would be used for the coolant temp sensor if the head were on the driver side.

If you go this route, its MUCH easier to access if you remove the passenger side coils and go in from the top. Jack the passenger side of the car up a bit and almost no coolant will be lost. Its what I did

Agreed.. but I don't think you should have to remove the starter, you can go in from the top quite easily if you remove the coil packs.

That's not the easiest place.. I'm not even sure I know where you mean with the "remove the starter" deal.. the starter in nowhere near the head...

Passengers side head.. towards the rear. There's a 12mm x 1.5 plug. Remove this plug and get an adaptor from autometer.

Not sure that adapter is available from Autometer. Got mine from Autobarn.com. Made by Equus. It's a brass adapter so be very careful when screwing it in.

I got to that plug, the one on the bottom side of the passenger head, from underneath when I did my coolant gauge. This was back when I still had all emissions, a/c and all that crap. It was MUCH easier at the time to drop the starter than to go in from the top, especially since I had access to a lift. I mean, c'mon, the starter is like two bolts, whereas the coil packs are five, with one pain in the *** one in the back.

And the adapter IS available from Autometer. I know because that's what the package said on it.

Sorry if I was unclear.

I don't have pics but I mounted mine in a T-fitting and used it as a throttle body bypass. Very simple install and simplest option there is. T-fitting available at Lowes or Home Depot for ~3 bucks. Tap the fitting for the sending unit and connect the dots.

I have also seen them mounted on the thermastat housing. Just drill and tap the housing, then screw in the provided sensor.
