Default Air

I'm doing my pacesetter header install tomorrow night and was wondering what do you guys do with the egr valve hose that hooks up to the stock manifolds, do you guys cap it off? or is it alright to just let it be and hang loose?
Thanks in advance and sorry if i sound like an idiot.

Your 2001 doesn't have EGR.

If you have the race style headers pull out all the AIR tubing and the pump.
You'll most likely get a SES from this (I didn't when I yanked mine) so you'll need the AIR tuned out.

I'm sorry AIR not egr, (It's been a long day) Ya i wasnt sure if it was alright to just let it lay there or if it had to be pluged up in some sort of way or just take everything out.

Yank it all, it'll look cleaner and your car will lose a few lbs.

There is a coupler-type-thingy above the driver side head where the three of the AIR tubes come together ... it has a little vaccuum tube attached to it.
I plugged that with a baby screw.
Other than that it's unbolt and throw out/sell/store.

There's a how-to floating around somewhere explaining the whole process.

Good luck.
