Default Magnuson F-body - new dyno results

I'm still installing the I/C kit, and should have it finished soon, but in the meantime, we were doing a little dyno work yesterday on the non- I/C car in my sig. Since this engine has ported heads, and lower comp(10.0:1) we decided to install a smaller pulley, and get a little more boost out of it.
We are now seeing a solid 7 PSI and the new numbers are 467RWHP/453RWTQ!

That was better than I expected, the I/C kit should easily make 500RWHP

More info to come soon,
Ed

Here is a copy of the dyno graph comparing the 5PSI run to the 7PSI run.

Let me know if I can answer any questions,
Ed

The 112 will not support a 408. The 122HH will do the trick.

I agree, the 122 would be needed for bigger engines. It will need a little more height, but nothing major.

Will the 122IC support 700 RWHP on stock cubes? What is the max PSI? Also, any updates on the fitment of the IC model?

Thanks,
Dan

Is this the holy grail, a no-hack-the-cowl Magnusson?
Or do you have to chop?

On how he got it to fit -

I actually cut mine out way to big! some of the different hoods out there might not even need that, mine is the standard flat Z28 hood, but an SS hood, or Ram Air hood may have enough clearence already.

The entire subframe is lowered, much like a 4x4 lift kit, which allows the use of factory motor mounts, sway bars, suspension, etc. The nice thing is, that factory ride height, and alignment specs stay the same. The production kits will be intercooled, but my prototype in the pics is not.
Quit teasin us Ed! lol

Keep up the great work

Even though running an I/C will end up giving you more power (since you can safely run more boost and timing without detonation), you probably won't see much of any increase on the dyno since your car won't have the oncoming air that it would at 60+MPH. Someone feel free to correct me if I am incorrect in my logic here.
