Make sure before you start unscrewing the plate that you remove the brackets from behind the bumper. Otherwise you will strip it for sure.

really it's quite complicated. you might want to hire an astrophysict to do it. It really isn't worth the $20,000 you'll have to pay him. It's rough... plust the reaming in the behind you take from his large bavarian ape. Let me tell you, that thing is hung like an elephant. Don't forget to bring the shaman and the member of the Q Continum. They have to change the gravitataional constant of the universe. They also have to put the sun and moon in line with your anus. The moonlight shines off your... ok, well, I can't go there. Dude, its not worth it.

Ok... maybe, but be reasonable. It's like asking how to open the door of your car.

lt1 hawk
12-01-2006, 10:25 PM
hey! opening the door to the car for the first time is even more complicated, let me tell you... first you have to somehow convince the First Lady to come to your house with a 140 year old bottle of champange. Then you have to convince her to have her housemaid say a Wiccan spell blessing the door handle... The next step is getting the first lady in the car, and then drinking that champagne out of her 2 inch pumps, without getting shot by the secret service. Lets be serious gentlemen, this is a precarious situation we are in!

ok, I am sorry if I am being a jerk. But that was really a rediculous question. (by the way, if you have not figured out, I can't spel to save my life) I don't know s--t about cars, and I can change a license plate cover.... my appologies.

12-03-2006, 04:22 PM
this is what i did. kept the plate bolted on. used velcro around outer edges of plate cover. with both pieces of velcro together put plate cover back in. then i removed cove again to make sure velcro tape adhered well to inside of the well for the plate cover. put cover back on, good to go. end result, if need to show plate occurs, plate cover comes off easily. plus its on pretty good so i dont have to worry aout it falling off. maybe this will help.......

The front cover snaps right off. I recommend using a screw driver. Take the cover that guards the under carriage off. Get a nut behind there so you can fit the bolt through the nut. Then torque it to about 250 lb/ft. MAKE SURE IT IS 250 LB/FT! If you go anymore you might crack your bumper. If you did everything correctly you are LUCKY.

If it does not stay on you will have to remove the driver's side valve cover and take out the intake spring, valve, and pushrod from piston 7. You are going to have to remove the head to get the valve off. After that is done, spray the outside of your car with some acid. This will help the license plate stick on to it.

I hope this helps. It sure as hell worked for me. Oh yeah, one more thing!

VERY IMPORTANT: U.S. Law states that if you have a front license plate, you can only have three wheels/tires MAXIMUM on your vehicle. This can be up to a $50,000 fine.

I would recommend taking the front left wheel and tire off.

Phew! Almost forgot that.

Then tighten the screws on the flux capacitor

You might want to check the specs with a torque wrench. If you overtighen the screws it will unwind itself so fast it might send you back in time without the machine and then you will really be screwed.

no, duck tape is.

i woiuldn't used velcro, i think it would come off with that and hit someone's car and fuck it up badly and it would be hard to deny if they have your plate.

For the love of God, just put your plate on the front, get it to where it looks best, and then zip two screws in the holes at the bottom. You said you didnt have the holes there and I dont know why they wouldnt be there but its plastic so the screws will have no problem going in.

just make sure you get it on there good, if you don't it might cause the torques to make a lot of noise and that's annoying as hell. people will be making fun of your torques everywhere you go...if i were you i would just go to the dealership and ask them to do it, if they laugh it's only because they deal with this thing everyday about 50 times
