Head porting?
Were is a good place around the Va area to get heads ported and polished? I am looking at some 243's fully assembled for a pretty good price and want to have them up graded. Thanks
Oh and also, Is it even possible to get it machined to have the bigger valves put in it?
Also the heads that I plan getting are brand new, with the Yellow springs, What lift are they capable of?

The LS6 springs are pretty much useless with anything but a stock cam. You should just buy a pair of CNC ported LS6 heads from Patriot. It'll end up costing you more to buy a pair of stock heads and have them ported. There's also a good possibility they won't flow nearly as well.

We do have our CNC ported 243's on special right now for $995.00 per pair. This includes new castings, 2.00"/1.55" oem valves, Patriot Gold springs, ti retainers, 5 angle valve job, hand blended, and milled to your specs.

I dont like to dick around with shops that dont deal with LS1's on a regular basis. That being said, send the heads off to someone who sees this stuff every day, preferably a site sponsor.

crazylane,
You absolutely couldn't beat the deal that Patriot is offering that Gunnar described above for both value and performance gains. I'd go for it if I were you!

Well I allready bought brand new LS6 Heads with valves and springs for 500.00. So I am not going to turn away now. lol.
If I was to send my heads off to Patriot Performance to get them CNC'D and Milled down some how much would that cost me? And roughly how long would it take for them to complete it?
All I want done is Port and Polish, and have them milled to 54cc. Unless you guys think the 64cc is better. And I also want the 5 angle valve job.

To do the porting, valve job and the milling, the cost would be $600.00. It would take us a couple of weeks to get them done. We will mill them to your specs, but 54cc will be milled approx. .060".

Exactly, we usually suggest a head be milled to 59cc at most.

Do you guys sell them? And when the machine work is complete, have them assembled by you?
Thanks
