Here's something some of you petrol heads may find interesting.
This was the result of some extensive testing recently in Germany to see how fast these production cars really are. The tests where made as fair as possible and as reproduciable as possible and where timed using multiple GPS timing equipment.
If you believe a certain car to be faster then remeber this is how fast it was under these atmospheric and local conditions. So if it could be faster at a different venue then so would all of the others.

It shows just what good value both the C6 Z06 and Ford GT really are. Almost level with the £300,000 Mercedes SLR.
Enjoy! :D

yeah VW lost a load of money on the Veyron. I hear they built it to build it, because people said it couldn't be done. 1000hp streetable car

Yeah buts including R&D costs into the equation. But much of the R&D will filter down into other cars and models. Like the engine for instance, it's been used in racing, it's used in Bently GT and the VW Phateon (sp?) and the forcoming Audi R8 (well possibly), some of the tech will also go to Lambo and to Porsche.
The VW group is one of the most profitable car companies at present. VW own Audi, Bugatti, Lambo, Bentley, SEAT, Skoda and a few others as well I think. Plus Porsche owns 25% of VW and Porsche are THE most profitable car company in the world.

lol, sadly there are too many fast cars to get all of them togther. The Enzo would have been interesting to see as would the latest carbon fibre Zonda (CSR or something) and of course the new Britstol Fighter which uses a modified twin supercharged Viper engine and produces nearly 1100bhp in stock trim.

LOL, or whatever you would call a car like that when its delivered. There isnt shit "stock" about a twin supercharged 1100 hp engine built by someone else.

The Bugatti costs 4.6 Million to make. Voltswagon did this just to show the world it could be done and Bugatti wanted to show everyone they still whoop ass. The last car they had was back in the late 80's the EB110 and it was a fucking monster for the 80;s, and now in the 2000's theyve unleashed another terror. plenty of cars COULD be faster, but they also wont be as streetable as the veyron along with kind of interior and weigh in at 4200lbs. They Veyron also has the undefeated fastest stopping brakes in the world. they cost like 250k EACH to make. they can stop the car from 250mph to a dead stop in about 10 seconds so you have an idea of just how strong and stable the car is built.
