Default MS4 with stock heads??

Can i get the MS4 and install it with stock heads?? or should i get my stock heads ported and save up for better heads?? Ive heard you can run the MS4 with stock heads as long as you upgrade the lifters, pushrods, springs. Could I and how much gain would it see??

yes it would be smart to change the lifters but I was lazy and didn't want to pull the heads. plus I didn't have the cash this whole swap and tune cost me 1300 with me doing all the labor except the tune.

You are going to have to get a stall and I would sure hope that you put 400 down, but if you don't just remember that the A4 will eat some of your power on the dyno but it will be there on the street, and track.

Also remember, a lot of members have been experiencing low HP numbers from the 98 blocks with different casting heads. You might not achieve that magic 400 you're hoping for.

How are these .600+ lift cams working on stock pistons(specifically 98 ls1)? Is there any flycutting involved?

No flycutting needed on stock heads, and the tune cost me a very special price, avg tune should run you about $350-$450 from most tuners.

MS4 is designed around stock heads. Make sure you get some good valve springs and pushrods.
