Default are kooks headers worth it?

im im the market of getting another cam (ms4 maybe). However i am currently running with the FLP headers which came with the car. My question is, are the kooks better than the flp's i already have or is the investment not worth it which is about 700 bucks or so. another ? i had was i will the 1 7/8 headers fit the 98 ta ? on the buynspeed (sp) it says the 1 3/4 will fit the 98, 99 and only the 1 7/8 will fit the 01 & 02's.

so what do i do.

thanks

They will fit. Emissions hookups might not be available on some. I have Kooks 1-7/8 headers on my 98. You will not pick up enough power from a header switch to make it worth your while. I'd say 5-15rwhp with a 1-7/8 swap, less with 1-3/4. I noticed no power when I went from my pacesetters to the 1-7/8 Kooks (~400rwhp 232/234 cam).

For a few hundred more, you could get some PRC CNC'd heads and really rock out.

well my initial plans are to go with some heads from tsp and the ms4 cam. but i dont know if the header swap is going to matter even after the fact if i have heads and a cam.

I got 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 kooks and picked up 25whp and 35rwtq from my other headers.

Must have been some nitrous leaking into the shop, or one of the primaries on the old headers was pinched shut.
