This spring, after a new set of mods, who will win?
Right now my friend has an manual '02 Mustang GT with a few things done to it, like a Loudmouth exhaust, a handheld tuner, and I think maybe a CAI, and then some ET streets. With the mods he has he ran a fastest of 13.687@100 the other day.
My car is a '00 WS6 that I ran a 13.157@106 in the same day, on the stock Eagle F1s, and at the time I had a lid, Pacesetter LTs, TSP ORY, and Hooker catback. Now I also have a Shaner S2 ported throttle body and a LS6 intake manifold.
His plans for this winter are to install a Vortech supercharger to his car. Mine is to get a stall of about 3200 or somewhere in that range, and some drag radials/slicks. 2 things I might possibly do are a pulley, and then get a full dyno tune at Speed Inc.
So when next spring comes around and we go back to the track, what do you think? Who will cross the line first?

Oh, I forgot, I'm going to debaffle my hood and seal it to the airbox, and do the TB bypass, if that helps any. Actually I already debaffled the hood and did the bypass, now I'm forming the thing to seal the hood with.

Lol, no thanks. Im just curious. He thinks he'll be running close to 12 flats, and if so I am going to get beaten pretty badly, but I was just wondering what you guys think will happen.

A friend of mine had a vortech supercharger on his GT and was running low 12s..but he had some other work done as well.
I would expect this guys car to be doing mid 12's...it's going to be hard for you to beat him without doing something a little bigger, but if you get him off the line with the verter it'll be close.

He does not have headers??
If he is just adding a supercharger and nothing else...and judging by the times that he is running now...you should be able to beat him. Is his car a M5 or auto?
With a good stall and sticky tires..w/your current mods you should be able to 60 ft. him still. I think you will fair ok!

Yeah, no headers, just a CAI, new loudmouth x-pipe and then a diablo handheld I believe. Thats all i think he has. And his car is the M5, not an auto.
I'm thinkking it will be a pretty good race, I'm looking forward to this spring/summer .

set it up so you race more than one time over the summer, the first time race like you are now and then the next time have a nice little suprise in gas form a little squeeze if you will

Roughly speaking and looking at the numbers, he'll have to pick up at least 60whp to run what you run right now...supercharger will yeild maybe 110whp at most on a stock well tuned car? He should be trapping 109-114 depening on launch, altitude of track,
I think if you couple that with the mods you will do and you on sticky tire. at the track you should beat him considering the auto/stall/tire combo...but he'll be comin top end...IMO from a roll on the street you might get beat.

Hahaha, yes, either way I like my car more, I would just like to be able to look at him and smile because he knows, and I know, that even with his new supercharger my car is faster too .

Ok, well he has it in now and went to the track already. Temp was about 40, and he said the track was pretty slippery, and he had a bad tune. He ran a 12.8@107. I might be closer than I thought already . But he's going to be putting an intercooler in it, a pulley, and ten tuning it well (with his handheld though), so he will still be a bit faster. What do you think that will work out to be for times? I should be getting down around there soon too. I already debaffled my hood, did the TB bypass, got a Shaner TB, and LS6, and I'm getting TD's on monday. So I should be quite a bit quicker that I was last time too already .
