Default Anybody seen a rusty 4th gen?

I've never seen one, despite seeing plenty of POS 4th gens around, none of them had any rust. Even on ebay and stuff, never seen a rusty one.

there's not a whole lot of metal on the body to rust besides the rear quarters and the hood. i have seen some rusty under-bodies though.

The only rust I have ever seen on the body of one was a guy on the Eastern section selling his 98 silver camaro. The left quarter panel right by the spoiler had a bunch of rust all over it. I think he got like 6500-7k for it

I'm on the east coast and i've got some rust, but it's only the K-member and axel/LCA's etc. No rust anywhere on the car itself, gotta love it..

Sssshhhhh....let's not say too much about it. We don't want the Rust to hear us

Most of the body panels would have a better chance of becoming rotten and brittle before you ever saw any rust

Here's a couple pics from a kid on another board I'm on. Rust hole in the rocker. I haven't seen the car in person so I don't know if anything else is rusted.

Actually, on my hatch, a metal flake got caught in the paint and is rusting thru...so, in a manner of speaking, it can rust

The kid with the orange car got in an accident earlier this year and was rear ended buy a kid in a V6 Firebird. He's been screwing around trying to get money to fix it back up. I didn't know it was rusty till he posted pics of those chrome Vette wheels he just put on. I knew it was a 3.4 and had a lot of miles, just didn't know it was rusty.

Granted most of the panels aren't metal but the ones that are metal are of a much higher quality than older style cars that you see rusting...

It takes breaking through the surface (of the paint and sealer) and leaving that bad boy exposed for AWHILE to see any rust on the body part of these cars...

Undercarriage and drivetrain parts, well that's a different story (since most of it is a different type of steel that what's used for the panels)

They rust just not on the outside. both my 95's were rusted completely through in several spots in the rear wells by 100K of daily driving. they rust under the undercoating. There was surface rust all over under the cars as well but nothing all that serious.

Just yesterday actually I saw a 93-95 v6 that had a ton of rust on the 1/4 panel on the drivers side but since the passenger side was still looking rust free I'm chalking that up to body work done with cheap replacement panels.

I do body work for a living and I see some surface rust between the 1/4 panels and trunk floor on near every F body I cut appart. Its only surface rust but its also Oklahoma, we dont have a lot of moister/salt ect. like some of you guys that live near the coast line.

A lot of you have rust but just havnt seen it yet, and also dont know where to look.
